HELYRA PROJECTS

Marie Skłodowska-Curie Doctoral Network project focused on the development of new technologies for minimally invasive neuromodulation. The project integrates advanced magnetic nanotechnologies, artificial intelligence, brain imaging, and adaptive control systems to create innovative interfaces capable of monitoring and modulating neuronal activity, opening new perspectives for the treatment of neurological disorders.

HELYRA role: Associated partner responsible for coordinating dissemination, communication, and stakeholder engagement activities, with the aim of maximizing the project’s visibility, enhancing its scientific results, and fostering dialogue between research, industry, institutions, and society. HELYRA also supports the definition of the impact strategy and the transformation of scientific results into accessible, high-value communication outputs.

Collaborative Biodiversa+ Project developing a new paradigm for marine biodiversity monitoring by transforming fishing fleets into a distributed environmental observation network. By integrating eDNA metabarcoding, satellite data, and artificial intelligence models, the project aims to generate large-scale datasets to identify biodiversity hotspots and support faster and more effective management and conservation decisions. SEAWATCH introduces a participatory and transdisciplinary approach in which research, fisheries, and governance collaborate to build more accessible, scalable, and impact-oriented monitoring systems.

HELYRA Contribution: support for project coordination and management, and contribution to dissemination, communication, and impact valorisation activities.

ERC Consolidator Project (Horizon 2020) investigating the origin and evolution of the relationship between humans and domestic cats over a time span of more than 10,000 years. Through genomic analysis and the study of dietary habits of archaeological samples from Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa, the project reconstructs the biological and ecological processes underlying the domestication and global spread of the cat.

HELYRA Contribution: definition and implementation of dissemination and results valorisation strategies, with the aim of translating complex scientific content into accessible, relevant, and high-impact narratives.

ERC Consolidator project developing a new generation of computational models and artificial intelligence tools to understand the mechanisms underlying vascular inflammation, one of the main causes of cardiovascular diseases. By integrating multiscale modelling, machine learning, and clinical data, VISTA aims to enable earlier diagnosis, personalized medicine, and new preventive strategies for atherosclerosis and related conditions.

HELYRA contribution: definition and implementation of dissemination, communication, and exploitation strategies, with the aim of amplifying the scientific and societal impact of the project and facilitating knowledge transfer to scientific communities, stakeholders, and potential end users. HELYRA also supports the coordination of valorization and dissemination activities, contributing to the alignment between scientific objectives, impact, and stakeholder engagement.
